## Challenge

Integrating hypertension and CVD care into HIV services in Botswana required evaluation of whether a type 2 hybrid effectiveness-implementation pilot design could demonstrate both clinical feasibility and implementation quality.

## Solution

Target RWE's HIV team and collaborators published quantitative outcomes from the single-arm InterCARE pilot study, demonstrating that integration of hypertension and CVD screening into HIV clinic visits is clinically feasible and achieves acceptable implementation fidelity.

## Impact

Demonstrating pilot feasibility for integrated HIV/hypertension care provides the evidence foundation for the full InterCARE trial and positions this integrated care model as an evidence-based approach for NCD/HIV co-management.
