## Challenge

STI prevalence, partner notification practices, and HIV risk perception among South African women completing STI screening had not been characterized in a real-world South African cohort.

## Solution

Target RWE's HIV team and collaborators analyzed STI screening cohort data from South African women to characterize STI prevalence, partner notification completion, and the relationship between STI experience and HIV risk perception.

## Impact

Documenting that STI burden and risk perception in South African women are interrelated provides HIV and STI prevention program designers with evidence for integrating STI screening with HIV risk counseling.

## Use Cases / Links

STI prevalence and risk perception characterization in South African women for integrated HIV/STI prevention, Partner notification behavior evidence for STI program design in high-HIV-incidence settings
