## Challenge

Immunocompromised patients hospitalized with COVID-19 face heightened risk of disease progression but patterns of remdesivir initiation in this vulnerable subgroup had not been characterized in real-world US hospital data.

## Solution

Target RWE researchers analyzed hospital data to describe patterns of remdesivir initiation timing, dose, and duration among immunocompromised patients hospitalized with COVID-19.

## Impact

Characterizing remdesivir initiation patterns in immunocompromised COVID-19 patients provides Gilead with post-authorization effectiveness evidence for this high-risk subgroup and informs clinical guideline development.
