## Challenge

Phase 3 clinical trials are resource-intensive and often fail to capture real-world patient experiences, but the practical advantages, challenges, and implementation requirements of integrating patient EMRs into trial infrastructure had not been comprehensively synthesized for a pharma audience.

## Solution

Target RWE researchers presented a framework for integrating patient EMRs into Phase 3 clinical trials, covering efficiency advantages in recruitment and monitoring, data integrity and privacy challenges, and real-time monitoring capabilities.
